2007 Record Breaking Events
Barry Bonds hit #756 of Home Runs this year! He broke the home run record with a shot in the right-center field seats off Washington Nationals pitcher Mike Bacsik at San Francisco's AT&T Park. Matt Murphy, a 21-year-old student and construction supervisor from New York, emerged from a scuffle holding the ball. He later decided to sell the ball because he felt that he couldn't afford to pay the taxes required to keep it. The Barry Bonds Home Run Ball sold for a whopping $752,467 on eBay and was sent to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
